Beaches
Beautiful sandy beaches at Alcaidesa and Sotogrande
are both within a short 10 minute drive of the apartment
and provide lots of amenities including beach bars,
watersports and restaurants. A little further Tarifa
has endless white sands and crystal clear water backed
by sand dunes and because of it’s location Tarifa
is a world renowned centre for kiting and windsurfing.
Places To Visit
Nearby Sotogrande has a beautiful marina surrounded
by bars and cafes to sit and chill out in with a beer
or coffee – this is the place to be seen and be
seen!
Up in the Andalucian mountain range there are many traditional
white hilltop villages to visit such as Ronda, Casares
and Gaucin. Historic towns such as Jerez, the cathedral
at Seville, Alhambra Palace in Granada and the Conquistador
port of Cadiz are all easily accessible for a day’s
trip. Gibraltar is only 20 minutes drive and a day’s
trip to Morocco is possible by ferry. Along the coast
are numerous resorts such as Marbella, Estepona and
Puerto Banus which offer many attractions including
shopping, night life, restaurants and beaches. Selwo
adventure park will be a hit for those thrill seekers
needing an adrenalin fix!
Golf
Sitting in the golden golf triangle you are spoilt for
choice San Roque, Almenara, Valderrama and Sotogrande
are all nearby. Throughout the region there are numerous
golf courses within easy reach of the apartment which
cater for all levels and abilities. On site San Roque
Golf Resort has two courses of world class standard.
The old course created in 1990 was designed by Dave
Thomas and is amongst the best in Europe and in 1997
hosted the Ryder Cup. The new course designed by Perry
Dye and Seve Ballesteros was the venue for the Spanish
Open in 2005 and 2006.
Dining Out / Restaurants
At the resort hotel the flagship Bolero restaurant offers
traditional Andalucian and international cuisine, the
Bougainvillea poolside grill is open during the summer
months for al fresco dining and the exotic Kamakura
is probably the Costa del Sol’s finest Japanese
restaurant. In the new on site shopping centre the relaxed
Hibiscus offers a bar, cafe and restaurant. Sotogrande,
Puerto Duquesa and the nearby village of Pueblo Nuevo
have many and varied fine restaurants to cater for every
taste.
Evening Entertainment
Nightclubs are synonymous with the Costa del Sol and
can be found in the up market resorts such as Puerto
Banus and Marbella. However nightclubs and bars are
also dotted around the local resorts of Sotogrande and
Pueblo Neuvo. Quiz and cinema nights are held at the
resort hotel and details can be found in the lobby.
